OSBuddy on Mac (self.osbuddy) submitted 1 year ago by TfwWill. Did you download the client again since dec 23rd? Was an update to app. It's in a dmg now. Game does not support retina displays yet, no. Will look worse unless you have 2x scaling. Like a 4k screen set to look like 1080p.
If you are a new player or a seasoned veteran, consider downloading OSBuddy. Oldschool Runescape buddy does a great job at fixing quirks in the game such as what's on the ground and gives you more on the game interface, without sacrificing screen space.
Easy visuals
The interface is easy to use, and the size of the screen does not change when running this program.
Old School Buddy allows users to look at a variety of panes and windows to give players the most information possible about anything and everything Runescape related.
When running this software, multiple new features make gameplay better. Users can now see what items are on the ground. Players can also see how many hit points enemies have, which is pretty awesome. Additionally, there are several options at the top of the screen that allows people to do a variety of things. One example is the camera icon, that takes a screenshot while in game.
Several different tabs appear on the right side of the screen. Active auctions, price of goods, discord chat, individual skill levels, and experience for each skill, and player skill are several examples of things that can be displayed.
Because this is a RuneScape product, there are two versions. There’s the free option, and the slightly better premium one. Pro offers just a little more to its users. For about three dollars a month, users have access to more information tethered to skills, such as where hunting traps were placed. Another example is a map icon to indicate where you died.
Where can you run this program?
OSBuddy is only available for PC. Runescape is available for Windows, Apple, Android, and PC.
Is there a better alternative?
No. This is the best choice out there. However, Alt1 is a similar product used for Runescape 3, and it would be a surprise to see Alt1 branch out into OSRS.
Our take
OSBuddy is well made and will be a great addition to anyone while playing OSRS. Between the multiple interfaces, displaying enemy hp, and adding text to what loot was dropped, it makes the game much easier to understand.
Should you download it?
Yes. Whether you pay for the pro download or not, this is a great addition to the Old School Runescape game and it is highly recommended.
3.0.23
Hey hows it going? I recently bought a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13 inch, Early 2015). I have downloaded almost little to nothing on the computer so far(23 songs, Runescape, and OSBuddy). I was playing Runescape just fine from the download Mac link from the Runescape website. Today for some reason I try to log in and it stops at '0% loading Game Configuration' then 'There was an error loading the game configuration from the website. If you have a firewall, check that this program is allowed to access the internet'. So I turned off my firewall on my computer.... still no luck. I also cannot access any Runescape website which makes me think its like blocking all Jagex sites or something. I have no firewall running so idk what would be blocking it...I have Jagex installed. I also tried to add extra DNS servers and that didn't work....I also tried downloading Google Chrome and running it thru that... no luck. I really don't understand how I was running the game 2 hours ago and now all of a sudden its broken... Had this Mac for a 2-3 months and having nothing but problems trying to play.. someone help please b4 I just quit!
MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.3), brand new!
